So we are fully into racing mode here and the gang came together over the weekend for a race themed picnic in the park. I was very nervous because it was Andres’ big debut. But of course everyone loved him. There was lots of champagne, yummy chicken salad, crusty bread rolls and a long afternoon.
Andres brought along a friend and introduced me as his girlfriend, which was lovely. We are starting to talk about Christmas plans together, so it’s getting a little more serious. Am I nervous? A little!
I will keep in touch.

Rumble in La Rambla
Well it’s funny how things work out. With also this recent talk of, certain someones from Barcelona, as well as new styles coming on to our web store, I thought I would share one of our inspiration trips with you guys.
A year or two ago, we found ourselves in the lovely city of Barcelona, and what a wonderful place it is.
Walking around the old part of the city, is amazing, and you never know what you will find around the next corner.
Here is a cute little cafe we shared an iced coffee, but be careful, because some corners hide less savoury secrets than others!

It’s been a big week with the whole Nellie&Me team unpacking boxes and getting the new stock up on the website. We really hope you love the first part of our new range as we’ve put lots of attention to detail into how they look and they quality materials we’ve specified.
So there’s not been much time for my love life lately, however this weekend I’m taking a breather and spending more time with Andres. We’ve spoken on the phone every day and some nights we’ve chatted for over two hours.
The guys at work and my friends can’t wait to meet him, but I’m waiting a little longer to get everyone together. I’m a bit nervous if the truth be told. He is so incredible looking and an amazing designer too - but I don’t want to move too fast. Plus I found out his project finishes before Christmas so I’m really trying not to get too excited or attached. But it’s REALLY difficult!
He was born in Barcelona and went to University in Madrid, plus he’s studied in Paris - so like many Europeans, he speaks a few languages. He’s very passionate about his work, but is very calm and strong. He’s much taller than me and has dark hair and olive complexion of course. Gorgeous green eyes, and as I’ve written before, a dreamy accent. Three younger sisters and his Mum and Dad all live in Barcelonetta. He is taking me to a movie late tomorrow afternoon and then out to dinner at one of his friends tapas bars in the city.
So I’ll keep in touch and try to remain calm!

Pier pressure

So as you can see, Nellie is still smitten with her new fling, although I think it may be turning in to something more serious! I better not speak for her, because I know she has really taken to keeping you guys updated.
To celebrate, we are giving away some cute summer scarves, free with any purchase on the site. Grab something now, before they all fly away.

Monday morning inspiration
Well nellie & me have been super busy lately, Nellie especially (more on that soon), but I couldn’t help but giggle when I came across this little blog post. It captures the essence of New York City living, one brick at a time.

What a great weekend. I have an early start tomorrow so Andres just dropped me home. Today was gorgeous. Fish and chips on the pier, a long walk on the beach and talking for hours. He is so dreamy.
Anyway - we have a big delivery of amazing sandals tomorrow morning, so it’s an early night for me. I can’t wait to get them up on our site and show them to you.
I’ll post more details about Andres soon, but I can tell you that I’m excited and nervous all at once.

Hi again. I can’t contain myself - very excited. Just spoke with Andres again and he’s taking me to the beach on the weekend. He’s keen to have fish and chips on the pier so I hope the weather is ok.
So I now know he’s Spanish and he’s come to Australia to work on a design project. I’ll find out more on the weekend. He’s smart and funny too, so it all seems too good to be true.
It’s been a while since I’ve met anyone interesting so I’m still very nervous.
Fingers crossed for me!

What a tease
Well as you can see, she called him, and they have a hot date ;)
As well as that, Nellie may have blurted out something about some new shoes coming in (she can never keep her trap shut when she is excited!), so I thought I would give you a little taste of some new styles available soon.

Stay tuned to see the full details soon.

OK - I finally did it last night and called Andres. We spoke for 45 minutes and he sounds just divine. That accent! I can’t believe it took me so long to get the courage to call.
So we are making a time to catch up on the weekend. He says he will organise something and let me know. I’m a bit excited!!!!
Anyway, I’m up bright and early because we have a new shipment of Spring shoes coming in. Wait until you see the espadrilles. I love them.
So back to work and I’ll post again later.
